Patella Tendinopathy Overview

This is a very painful injury that causes sharp pain at the front of the knee, typically where the Patella tendon attached to the patella. It is less commonly found in the mid portion of the tendon. If you reach down to the tip of your kneecap, closest to the foot this is where the tendon attaches. If it is painful to press there and you get pain with jumping and running activities, there is a high likelihood that you have an issue with your patella tendon.
