What to expect from your Online Physiotherapy appointment at Flawless Physio
At Flawless Physio, our goal is to provide you with the best possible care and guidance for your injury. All of our clinicians are highly trained and we allow 30 minutes for your initial appointment to ensure your clinician can deliver a thorough assessment.
Firstly, your therapist will discuss with you, your current symptoms and the circumstances through which they developed. This allows them to gain a thorough understanding of how your symptoms are affecting you and will enable them to consider your treatment options to develop the best plan for you.
Your therapist will next carry out a physical assessment over a video chat, to examine your movement patterns and mobility. When relevant, they will ask you to demonstrate task or sport-specific movements. Specialist orthopedic and neurological tests may also be appropriate depending on the presenting issue.
Drawing together all of the information gathered from your assessment, your therapist will explain your diagnosis and the best treatment options for you. You will receive treatment in the form of specific advice and exercises. Photos and/or videos of how to do your exercises will be emailed to you, acting as a reference point so you don’t have to worry about forgetting any details.
We aim to conclude your appointment with you having a greater understanding of your injury and confidence in what the next steps are in your recovery.
What should I wear?
We recommend that you bring some loose clothing that you are free to move in. This enables your Physiotherapist to see the area of treatment. For issues from the hip down, please bring shorts or leggings. If you have a sports-related injury, please bring the attire that you would wear during these activities.
